Recital Flowers, DVDs and Pictures

One of the best parts of recital is receiving flowers after the big show! Vibe Dance Studio is pleased to offer floral bouquets for sale to our families for the upcoming Recital. You have the opportunity to place orders in advance for your dancer, as there will be limited quantities available the day of the show. Our large, beautiful flower bouquets are $17.00. Your pre-ordered bouquet may be picked up at the Flower Table at Everett Civic Auditorium June 24th. The table will be open prior to the show and during intermission. Completed pre-order forms are due at the dance studio no later than Wednesday, June 20th at 8:00pm. 

DVDs

Recital DVDs are the perfect way to capture your dancer’s priceless moments on stage. For the safety of the performers, video taping and flash photography is not allowed the day of the show. Vibe Dance Studio is offering a professionally filmed video for you to purchase. Recital DVDs are available for $35.00 for one show or $60.00 for both. We are so excited to have Kirill Federspiel film our recital video this year. Don’t miss out on capturing this special performance. 

Recital Pictures

These professional photographs are taken by Kirill Federspiel here at the studio June 2nd and 3rd. If you’re interested in having gorgeous pictures taken of your dancer, please pick a time slot on the picture schedule (at the front desk) as soon as possible, as slots will go quickly. Arrive 10 minutes prior to your time slot with hair and makeup done to your liking. Your picture slot will include up to 2 costumes (3 poses for each costume) and a professionally edited headshot. If your dancer would like any addition costumes, sibling photos, etc we will be more than happy to take those for you for an additional $10.00 per “extra.” Each family will receive a CD-Rom of photos taken. Parents will be able to develop these as they please. The base fee for Recital pictures this year is $40.00. 

Ballet Mock Exams

Reminder to all ballet students in Primary A/B, Primary C, Level 1A, 1B, & 2. In preparation for the ABT Affiliate Exams June 8th-10th, we will be holding Mock Exams this weekend. This allows students the opportunity to practice and experience the format of an exam and to recieve individulized scoring and written feedback on your work. 

This will provide both students and their teachers with a picture of what needs further work and refinement before the official exams in June. 

The schedule for this weekend's practice exams is as follows: 

Saturday May 5th

Level 1B 11:30-12:30 

Sunday May 6th: 

Primary A/B           12:00-1:00

Primary C             1:00-2:00

Level 2B               2:00-3:00

Level 1A               3:00-4:00

New Adult Fitness Classes

GET EXCITED! Vibe will have new Adult Fitness classes starting May 5th:

Zumba Fusion $5.00/class or $25 Adult Fitness Unlimited Monthly Membership 

Thursdays 7:00-8:00pm  

Fusion is a jam packed class kicked off with 30 minutes of traditional Zumba Fitness to get your heart pumping. Cardio will be followed by 30 minutes of Total Body Strength and Core, targeting your major muscle groups and core. This is a low impact section of class, incorporating the use of light hand weights, the barre, floor exercises, and your own body, focusing on correct form and alignment. Zumba Fusion is the ultimate class for you entire body! 

Total Body Strength and Core $5.00/class or $25 Adult Fitness Unlimited Monthly Membership

Saturdays 10:00-11:00am

Targeting your major muscle groups and core, you will experience a low impact class that is designed to help tighten, tone, and strengthen your entire body. We will be using our own bodies, light hand weights, the barre, and floor exercises, focusing on correct form and alignment. Come discover what your body has within!   

**It is recommended that you bring a set of light handweights (2-8 pounds, depending on your strength and preference of intensity) for Zumba Fusion/Total Body portion of class. Weights will not be provided to you. These can be purchased at any Target, Walmart, or sporting goods store.

Recital Productions

Each year we enjoy putting together a jazz production, including the majority of Vibe’s jazz classes. Students have already learned this dance and will be perfecting all details in the months to come. This dance is optional, so you do not have to participate.

In addition, we are excited to announce a first ever tap production. It also includes most of our tap students and participation is optional.  

Information will be going home regarding rehearsal dates and costume details. Involved dancers are those from the following classes: Mini Adv Jazz, Jr Int Jazz, Jr Adv Jazz, Teen Adv Jazz, Sr Int Jazz, Sr Adv Jazz...Tap 4, 5, 6A, 6B and Teen Beg Tap.

Spring Break

Next week is Spring Break so the studio will be closed for Youth Classes Monday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 8th. Zumba, Belly Dancing, and HoopDance will still be having class so come on in and join the Adult Fitness Classes! We will be closed for all classes on Easter Sunday. Have a safe and fun break and we'll see you soon.
